Children's Ministries

WEE WORSHIP:
Wee Worship is a ministry for children ages 12 months through Pre-school who are too young to attend Children’s Church. Our ministry for you and your child takes place Sunday mornings during regular church service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Come on over to the “yellow room” located just down the hall behind the sanctuary. We are confident you will find Wee Worship to be safe, clean, and fun at all times, all-the-while offer the children an opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

HOW IT WORKS:
Wee Worship is taught by a team of 2 volunteers each Sunday (1 teacher, 1 helper.) These volunteers operate on a rotating six to eight-week schedule. Our Wee Worship lessons are put together and organized by our Wee Worship Director, Layla Thayer, to ensure your child/ren are being provided a worshipful and biblically educational experience. Your child/ren will learn bible stories straight from the Bible, spend time in worship, pray together, play together, do an age-appropriate craft and enjoy snacks.

Our volunteers will be available for check-in at 10:15 a.m. and will begin Wee Worship activities promptly at 10:30 a.m. When signing in your child/ren, please write their name, the person responsible for them, their age and any allergies they may have (if any.)

We ask that you pick up your children immediately following church service. Feel free to check on your child at any time. We ask, however, that you do so discreetly so your child will not see you and that the worship service is not disrupted by your leaving and reentering.
WHAT TO BRING:
· Diaper Bag with essentials including 2 or 3 diapers, ointment and wipes.
· Comfort items such as pacifier (must have clip), blankie, etc.
· Change of clothes (just in case)
· Bottle or sipper cup with formula, juice, milk, water, etc.
· Healthy child wearing a clean, dry diaper. Please label all your child’s belongings!!

SNACKS:
Snacks are provided for children. The snacks consist of cheerios for infants, animal crackers for walkers and either animal crackers, graham crackers, or goldfish for those 2 years and older. Snack does typically include a juice box or water.

QUIET/NURSING MOTHER ROOMS:
We have a Quiet Nursery in the room. This is for mothers of infants needing quite time and for Nursing Mothers who are welcome to come for privacy at any time.

SICK POLICY:
For the protection of our children we cannot accept a child, who has had a fever, vomiting and/or diarrhea within the past 24 hours, a runny nose with discolored discharge, an unexplained or contagious rash, persistent cough, or any other signs of illness. In addition, children exposed to infectious illnesses (i.e. flu, strep throat) can be symptomless carriers for up to 72 hours. Out of courtesy to other children and nursery teachers, please keep your child home
until you know they are well.

Thank you for helping keep our nursery a healthy environment for all children and teachers.

Children's Church

At GMC, we take children’s Biblical education very seriously. In Children’s Church, your child or children (if they’re between 3 years old and 3rd grade) will learn about Jesus and what the Word says about Him. He or she will participate in a Biblical story for that day, make a coordinating craft, have a snack, and if time allows, some supervised free play in the gym. We love that their tender little hearts are curious and that they want to know more about Jesus. That’s our job. To show the way….
