Our Mission

Our Mission has evolved through the years:

1997 ~ Start “The” Church
2000 ~ Grow “The” Church ~ Physically and Spiritually
2019 ~ Be “The” Church

What we believe

• We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as being verbally inspired God and inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are mankind’s only supreme and final authority.
• We believe in only one God eternally existing in one essence, yet three equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God the Father, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was born of the virgin, Mary.
• We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person in the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement. He is the life of the believer, and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
• We believe that mankind was created in the image of God. We also believe Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden and thereby mankind incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all humans are born into sinful nature.
• We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood.
• We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into Heaven (taken up in a cloud), and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us.
• We believe in the blessed hope, which is the personal, visible, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who will return in the like manner in which He left.
• We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as their only means of salvation are born again by the Holy Spirit , and thereby become children of God and heirs for eternal life.
• We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost in hell, and the fellowship of the saved with God in Heaven.
• We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who is still working in the world to destroy the souls of men, and that he and all his angels, and all who do not receive Christ as their Savior will eternally suffer in the lake of fire.
• We believe in the Church, whose mission it is to preach the Scriptures to all the world, all of its endeavors being guided by multiple leadership and supported by the wise stewardship of God’s people.
• We believe that marriage is instituted and ordained by God for the lifelong relationship between one man as husband and one woman as wife. This is the most intimate of human relationships, is a gift from God and a sacred institution.
• We believe that ordinances of the Church, given by our Lord, are Baptism and the Lord’s Table (Communion).
• We believe that the forgoing are in accordance with Bible doctrines; therefore, we stand firm upon this Confession of Faith

Our History

In 1994, three families wanted “more” and started a Bible study. Shortly after that, the Gospel Mission Church was established. Our first church service was on Mother’s Day 1994. July of 2000 our original pastor resigned. In October of 2000, a 30-year-old “Timothy” was voted in as the new Pastor. The church quickly grew from 40 members, to 100. This meant we needed a new addition to the church to accommodate the growing congregation. At that that time we added on 5600 square feet of building.
Over the years we have also strengthened our foundation spiritually, as Jesus is our Cornerstone. We are continuing to become better disciples and are more open to the Spirit of God. We will continue to walk in His truths and His truths alone.

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
